Since mid-March we offer within our group a weekly transport with LCL Consolidation Boxing by rail from Duisburg to Wuhan in China – a distance of about 10,550 kilometers. The pre carriage from Switzerland or Europe is done by truck. The first transports have already been successfully completed.
The advantage for customers: compared to airfreight, rail transport saves around 70 per cent in terms of costs, and rail freight is more than twice as fast as sea freight. A shipment by ship from Duisburg harbor to the port in Wuhan takes more than 45 days – 27 days shorter is the transport by train.
